Marokkaanse Berber kussens

A Moroccan Berber cushion is a handmade throw cushion made of 100% wool, woven by Berber artisans in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. The same traditional patterns and colours you find in Berber rugs and poufs come back in these cushions — warm colours, rich textures and a pattern that’s never quite the same twice.

What can you use a Berber cushion for?
As a decorative cushion on the sofa or bed, as an accent in a reading corner, or combined with a Berber rug or pouf for a complete, warm interior.

How do you care for a Berber cushion?
Wool is naturally dirt-repellent. Regular airing and light vacuuming on a low setting is usually enough; gently dab a stain with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Origin
Our cushions come directly from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, made by Berber tribes with craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. For some of our cushions, an existing vintage Berber rug is given a second life this way — lovingly reshaped by hand into a cushion full of character.

Frequently asked questions

How do I combine Berber cushions in my interior?
Combine a few cushions in the same colour family for a calm look, or contrasting colours for a more playful effect.

Are Moroccan Berber cushions sustainable?
Yes, wool is a natural, sustainable material, and the handcraftsmanship makes for a sturdy, long-lasting product. For some of our cushions, we also give an existing vintage rug a second life, instead of using new material.
