Handmade from wood in Cameroon

94,95

Beautiful handmade African Namji doll. Namji dolls are handmade dolls made of wood decorated with beads and shells by the Namji tribe in Cameroon. Namji dolls were originally unadorned and used as toys for young girls. Upon reaching puberty, the doll becomes a fertility symbol and they decorate the doll with beads and shells and take care of it as if it were a real child.
The Namji dolls are also used as good luck charms.

Namji dolls are made of wood in northern Cameroon. Because of the handwork, each doll is unique.

The height of the Namji doll is about 28 cm and is about 10 cm wide at the center.

In addition to this nice African Namji doll, Seda’s Miracle also has various other Namji dolls and other home specials in its range!
