Tiznit pottery is made in Tiznit in Morocco.
The pottery is handmade and glazed there. As a result, there will be ‘damage’ or imperfections and pieces on the pottery that are not glazed. Tiznit pottery is also called the family of Tamegroute pottery. Adding iron oxide to the glaze creates the beautiful mustard-like color. Each piece of pottery looks different, which makes it unique and is beautiful with its imperfections.
